Tea Labels That Make Your Brand Shine

To say that the tea market is saturated would be an understatement. Therefore, you should aim to give your products an edge over your competition. Excellent taste and quality are, of course, the most important factors to stay competitive. However, people must notice your tea before they can say anything about its quality.

That’s where we enter the stage. We can help you catch your customers’ attention with our high-quality custom labels. For tea manufacturers, our range of sustainable label materials might be particularly interesting. Many tea brands are proud of their use of natural ingredients. Eco-friendly packaging emphasises this connection to nature and can motivate environmentally conscious audiences to interact with your products.

Of course, we stock all kinds of different materials to cater to all our customers’ needs.

FYI

The origins of tea are said to lie in the eastern hemisphere. China, to be exact. While the British have been drinking tea for about 350 years now, the beginning of Chinese tea culture is estimated to date back several thousand years.

Since then, tea has developed into a cultural phenomenon. It has ritual significance in countries such as Japan and is among the most popular beverages in the United Kingdom. So, this particular beverage is much more than just something to drink.

Blind Embossing:

Blind embossing is a classic finishing technique in label printing. It dispenses with colour highlighting and only impresses with a partial deformation of the label material.

Hot Foil Stamping:

Need a real eye-catcher? Then hot foil stamping is just the thing for you! This luxurious finishing makes sure your products shine at the point of sale.

Relief Embossing:

Relief embossing is essentially a combination of blind embossing and hot foil stamping. The process creates a deformation that is simultaneously combined with a coloured hot foil.

Digital Spot Varnish:

Spot varnish is applied to specific points on the material using a PDF print file. So, what makes it special is that it needs no customised tools.

Design Tips for Your Tea Labels

Matching the outside of your products to their contents is a popular design approach. An easy way to implement this is by working with colours. Especially for different kinds of tea, such as green tea, herbal tea, black tea, white tea, etc., it makes sense to work with different colour schemes that complement the tastes and connotations.

Don’t know how to do that or where to start? No problem! We are happy to provide some incentives.

Soothing and natural colours work well with herbal tea blends. After all, several colours are even named after herbs. So, it makes sense to use colours such as Light Lavender (C20 M20 Y0 K10) for teas that feature the respective herbs. Chamomile is a classic and should be combined with colours like Pale Gold (C10 M15 Y50 K5) or Goldenrod (C3 M29 Y94 K9). More earthy tones, such as Reddish Brown (C0 M50 Y80 K60) and Burnt Orange (C0 M60 Y100 K10), are great to complement your Rooibos Tea. These colours add more diversity while maintaining the organic, earthy, and vibrant nature of herbal teas.

The most popular type of tea (at least in the UK) deserves a great design that reflects its special properties. The rich taste of black tea is best complemented with muted colours, such as Deep Brown (C30 M60 Y80 K80), Burnt Copper (C10 M50 Y80 K40), or Amber (C0 M20 Y80 K10). These colours emphasise the warmth and robustness of black tea, enhancing its classic and sophisticated feel.

Inspiration

This example design for a herbal tea blend shows how you can subtly use colours to complement contents. The writing on the front of the label is printed in Gunmetal, which is a dark, greenish shade of Gray. Thus, it picks up the Sage used in the mix. On the left-hand side of the label, Goldenrod is used to emphasise the notes of citrus.
