Who are you?
Tell us a little about yourself
Hi, I’m Denise. I’d describe myself as a calm and thoughtful person who tends to warm up slowly in new situations. I really enjoy listening and always make time for others. Treating people with respect and kindness is important to me, and when I’m passionate about something, I give it my all. Even in the middle of occasional chaos, I manage to keep things under control. And yes, while I might be a few minutes late now and then, you can always count on me. In my free time, I love staying active by playing tennis, beach volleyball and, when I get the chance, wakeboarding. I enjoy learning new skills and value personal growth, but I also appreciate my routines and habits because they give me structure and a sense of stability.

What has your professional
career been like so far?
A few months after completing my training, I spent a year in New Zealand, which was an incredible and formative experience. I returned to Germany in 2018 with new friendships and fresh perspectives, and soon after started a new job. In the summer of 2020, I joined label.co.uk, and I’ve been part of the team ever since.
How did your path lead you to label.co.uk?
The company has always been well-known locally and has a strong reputation as an employer. While searching for a new challenge, I took a chance and sent an unsolicited application. It didn’t work out at first, but when the right role became available, label.co.uk got in touch, and I was delighted to start my journey in Customer Service.
What is your role at label.co.uk and what does your typical day look like?
Since October 2023, I’ve been responsible for HR matters at label.co.uk following an internal promotion. Whereas I used to advise customers in my Customer Service role, I’m now the main point of contact for colleagues on important and sensitive topics. My regular tasks include conducting interviews, onboarding new team members, processing the monthly payroll, and coordinating everything around these processes. Each day is different, though, and I’m constantly learning. label.co.uk supports my professional development, ensuring I’m always up to date.
