Double-Hit Black & White

To achieve exceptional results when printing brilliant white and deep black, we offer the option of printing these colours twice. This process, known as double-hit printing, applies white or black ink in two layers to increase opacity, colour density and overall print impact.
Thanks to the precise registration accuracy of digital printing, both layers are aligned perfectly, ensuring consistently sharp details and exceptional print quality.
How to Use the Double-Hit Function
The double-hit option is a premium feature that can be activated for your account upon request. Once enabled, the following double-hit options will be available within your personalised online calculator:
Setting Up Your Artwork
Double-Hit Black: all elements within your artwork that are defined as 100% K will be printed using a double application of black ink, resulting in greater opacity and colour depth.
Double-Hit White: all elements defined as 100% HPI-White will be printed using a double application of white ink. Please note that white ink must be set up as a spot colour and named “HPI-White” within your artwork.
