What Label Materials to Use?
There are many factors to consider when deciding on your labels for your takeaway containers:

- Does it need to withstand cold or frozen temperatures?
- Does it need to be waterproof for markets/fairs (typical British weather!)?
- Does it need to be written on (Customer name or special order etc)?

That’s why we have textured papers, films and different sustainable materials for you in stock. If you want to have your takeaway labels produced on a very specific material that you cannot find in our calculator or in our material guide, you can contact us. On request, we can order certain materials for you.
Our recommendation: For labels that are to be in contact with food/drink or handled a lot, we would recommend our PP Film for its waterproof/smudge-proof qualities.
Film Lamination on Your Takeaway Labels
Applying a film lamination is a process whereby an additional film is placed over the printed label’s substrate. For example, we print your label design on a white polypropylene film and apply a film lamination over the top to create the final aesthetic. A film lamination is applied across the entire label – no partial application possible – and thus protects your takeaway labels from abrasion. Questions? Proofing Service
Choose one of our proofing service options. We will print your label under the same conditions as the final print run. This allows you to check the print result and make sure that your label or substrate is well-suited to your needs.
Artwork Service
Not sure if your artwork is correct? Take a look at our artwork service and we will check your files, depending on the package you chose, to correct and prepare them for printing. Your labels will then look exactly as you want them to.
