Why Multilayer?
Labels with several layers – also known as multi-layer labels – are often used for products that are sold in small containers. When the labels on such containers need to provide a large amount of information, multi-layer labels are particularly suitable. Therefore, these labels are popular for food or food supplements as well as chemical and cosmetics products – to name only a few.
Alternative to Multi-Layer Labels
If multilayer labels are not the right choice for your products, you can opt for release varnish instead. Release varnish labels are produced with a very special printing technique. They are coated with a varnish that allows the label to be wrapped around itself without sticking permanently. This means it can be wound and unwound over and over again, which means that – similar to multi-layer labels – a larger printing area is created. However, this type of label is only suitable for cylindrical containers.
